Odisha always faces some kind of calamities, especially flood and cyclone. Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Bhubaneswar monks and volunteers reach to the affected areas as quickly as possible to serve.

During chilling winter season, we distribute Blankets to the poor and needy.

Swami Vivekananda has preached – service to mankind is service to God. Service to poor and downtrodden is considered as worship to the divine.

Ramakrishna Mission provides relief in Gajapati

The Ramakrishna Mission, Bhubaneswar, provided relief to the people of 12 villages of R Udayagiri block in Gajapati district, who were affected in the recent Cyclone Titli.

Swami Advayananda of the Ramakrishna Mission said that relief materials like sarees, dhotis, mosquito nets, trousers, shirts and biscuit packets were distributed in Gamangosahi, Benusahi, Antarali, Kankadagoda, Baraba, Thatraj Colony, Shantinagar, Nabartnapur and other villages.

Mission secretary Swami Atmaprabhananda said the relief work was started on October 12, the very next day of the cyclone, and the first phase of the relief operation concluded October 21 and the second phase would start soon.

He also thanked the volunteers, devotees and well-wishers who have extended support tirelessly and contributed monetary help for the relief of cyclone victims.
